About THE SONG
The Path Made for You and Me began with a simple challenge.
While a family member was recovering from a serious illness, recovery came one step at a time. Part of that was through twice-daily walks. During this time, a simple challenge was jokingly offered: write a poem that could be turned into a song.
Two mornings later, breakfast came with an unexpected gift: a handwritten poem placed on the table. As it turned out, those walks had inspired the observations woven throughout the poem.
That poem became The Path Made for You and Me.
Most of the lyrics come directly from the original handwritten poem. Only a small number of additional lines were added to shape it into a song, always with the intention of preserving its voice and gentle observations.
On the surface, it's a walk through nature and a reminder to care for the world around us. Beneath that, it reflects on life's journey, the people we walk beside and the paths that shape us. The title is deliberately open, inviting listeners to discover their own meaning.
